Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 18, 2026
This Refund Policy explains how payments made to Toure Legal (“the Firm,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) are handled in connection with consultations and legal services.
1. Consultation Fees
Fees paid for an Initial Planning Conversation or other advisory consultation are earned upon completion of the consultation.
Once the consultation has taken place, the fee is non-refundable.
If a consultation is cancelled by the Firm prior to taking place, any fee paid will be refunded or credited toward a rescheduled appointment, at the Firm’s discretion.
2. Legal Services and Advance Fees
For legal services requiring advance payment, funds are handled in accordance with applicable professional responsibility rules.
Advance fees are deposited into the Firm’s trust or escrow account and are not considered earned until the agreed-upon work is completed or otherwise earned under the terms of the engagement agreement.
3. No Refunds After Work Is Performed
Once legal work has been performed, no refunds will be issued for fees earned.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Time spent reviewing information or documents

Legal analysis or planning performed

Drafting or preparation of legal materials

Advisory services rendered
Fees are earned based on the work performed, not on outcomes or client preference.
4. Termination of Engagement
If an engagement is terminated before all agreed-upon work is completed, any unearned portion of advance fees held in trust or escrow will be refunded in accordance with the engagement agreement and applicable ethical rules.
5. Payment Disputes
Any questions or concerns regarding fees or payments should be raised promptly and in writing. The Firm will review all inquiries in good faith and in accordance with the terms of the engagement agreement.
6. Governing Documents
This Refund Policy is subject to and supplemented by the terms of any written engagement agreement between the Firm and the client. In the event of a conflict, the engagement agreement controls.
